For those delegates and/or partners wishing to extend their stay in Scotland, we have arranged two complementary tours on Friday 20 October:
A trip to Scotland, particularly for international visitors, is never complete without a visit to the capital, Edinburgh! WaterfrontExpo has arranged an excursion (with a strong waterfront theme) to Edinburgh, via the world-famous Falkirk Wheel (www.thefalkirkwheel.co.uk). As the world’s first and only rotating boat lift, The Falkirk Wheel is quite simply unique. It is the spectacular centrepiece of the £84.5 million 'Millennium Link', the UK’s largest canal restoration project, developed by British Waterways to reconnect the Union Canal with the Forth & Clyde Canal, re-establishing east to west coast access for boats. Several other interesting waterfront locations will be visited in and around Edinburgh and the tour will also include some free time to enable people to explore Edinburgh at their own pace. |

For those that would like to see more of the region's regeneration zones outside Glasgow city centre, this excursion will take you to the Gorbals estate (an internationally acclaimed success story), Govan and Inverclyde.
